Code Enforcement has declared Books on B a non-essential business for now; no transactions will be conducted at the shop until further notice.
But! We have the technology and temerity to pivot to continue to be your bookseller during this time — email your order, and I’ll provide a quote with how I can get it to you. I’ll be checking phone messages only occasionally during this time; a direct email by firstname.lastname@example.org is best.
To those of you with outstanding orders: I will find a way to get your book to you, and will be in touch.
We’re all in this together to do our part for the best possible outcome: if this is what it takes to ensure I’ll see each of you in the shop again, it’s worth every minute. For now, be sure to sign up for our newsletter, and follow us on Facebook or Instagram, for updates.
This independent bookstore was brought to life by book lovers like you; I’ve seen the caliber of your character, and am confident that together, we’ll get through this.
Thank you for your support: before, now, and soon again.
Take good care of yourself and each other,
Books on B
Books on B, created by its community, and for its community, opened its doors September 30th, 2017.
Its owner, Renee Rettig, hails from Hayward’s beloved The Book Shop (1960-2017) and is proud to be part of the preservation and proliferation of independent bookstores.
Celebrating new, used, and rare reads, and delighting in special orders, placed daily, Books on B invites all readers to gather at its warm, welcoming hearth— bring your curiosity and compassion!
